Technical Writer II / Instructional Designer

Job Responsibilities:

• Create, update, and maintain eLearning courses, job aids, and technical documentation
• Develop interactive training content for operational users
• Update training materials as applications are enhanced or business processes evolve
• Publish and manage course content, including course ownership and access management
• Create and maintain release notes templates and documentation standards
• Build and maintain documentation libraries within SharePoint
• Produce training videos and embed multimedia into course content
• Validate technical accuracy by working closely with project team members, subject matter experts, and training teams
• Participate in regular team sessions to ensure content quality and consistency
• Track documentation through the complete lifecycle, including creation, review, approval, publication, and updates
• Ensure all materials align with company branding and quality standards
• Collaborate with IT, operations, and vendor teams to gather requirements and deliver training solutions

• Must Have:
• Experience in technical writing, instructional design, or learning and development (L&D)
• Experience creating online training content and eLearning modules
• Experience with video creation and multimedia content development
• Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, user-friendly content

• Detail-oriented with strong organization and documentation management abilities
• Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with evolving priorities
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Preferred:
• Experience supporting utility, grid operations, or enterprise application environments
• Experience developing training materials for OMS (Outage Management System) and ADMS (Advanced Distribution Management System) applications
• Experience managing content within SharePoint libraries
• Creative and thoughtful approach to content development
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Proactive and engaged in stakeholder collaboration
• Commitment to improving user experience through effective training and documentation solutions

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree — Preferred
