Senior Accountant | Up to $100K

Location: Greater Tampa Bay Area | Hybrid Schedule | Local Candidates Only

Responsibilities

• Perform account reconciliations and ensure the integrity of financial data
• Research and resolve account variances and transactional discrepancies
• Analyze financial information to identify trends, risks, and areas requiring attention
• Assist with journal entries and other month-end close activities
• Support the preparation of financial reports and management reporting packages
• Participate in annual audit preparation and coordinate supporting documentation
• Help maintain compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial information and support business objectives
• Monitor and improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Maintain organized records and documentation to support financial reporting requirements
• Assist with system, reporting, and process improvement initiatives
• Support special projects and ad hoc analyses as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; advanced degree or professional certification is a plus
• 3-5 years of experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, or a combination of both
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUPs, and data analysis functions
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality
• Experience participating in process improvement, automation, or system enhancement projects is a plus
