Database Administrator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Junior Database Administrator to join our team in Las Vegas. As a Junior Database Administrator you will be responsible for ensuring the security, availability and performance of our database systems, and will assist in troubleshooting and resolving any database-related issues that may arise. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of database management systems, excellent problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or individuals with limited experience in the field of database administration. Responsibilities Install and configure database software Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise Perform regular backups and test disaster recovery procedures Implement security measures to protect sensitive data Create and maintain documentation on database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure smooth integration of databases with other systems Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and trends in database administration Requirements Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field preferred 1-2 years of experience working with relational databases such as MySQL or Oracle Knowledge of SQL and scripting languages like Python or Perl Familiarity with database design principles and data modeling techniques Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail Salary $1300 per month, negotiable based on experience.
