Behavioral Health Nurse IDD

Job Overview Residential Full Time Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. No Weekends. Offer unique and individualized care to a diverse client population across all ages, including developmental disabilities and extreme trauma. Supported by a multidisciplinary team of mental health counselors, social workers, certified nurse practitioners, case managers and psychiatrists to ensure the best outcomes. Responsibilities Address the behavioral and physical health needs of clients receiving treatment for psychiatric symptoms. Perform health care screenings and check vital signs. Administer injections and other medications as needed. Monitor and administer medication. Educate clients on pharmaceuticals. Gather client information and history from the Nurse Practitioner. Case management duties including coordination of community services. Assist clients in building skills including emotion, stress and anger management, communication and interpersonal relationships. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited nursing program. RN license. Experience in psychiatric, mental and behavioral health services. Willingness to travel throughout assigned service area.
