Who You Are Justworks is seeking a Senior Product Designer to help scale our Benefits experience, contributing to our Benefits team’s mission to provide peace of mind to admins, members, and their families. Justworks’ Benefits team is focused on supporting businesses that would not otherwise have access to enterprise-level benefits. We deliver reliable and compliant access to high-quality health insurance, the ability to save for their financial future, and support during life’s unforeseen events and major milestones. As a member of the Benefits design team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams delivering the Benefits experience. You will rely on your systems thinking skills and obsession of craft to solve complex design problems and deliver elegant and delightful solutions. You’re confident working independently through the design process—from discovery through delivery—and adept at balancing user needs with business and technical constraints. You think beyond simple layouts, in terms of user journeys and workflows. You know when to rely on established design systems and when—and how—to extend those systems. You communicate clearly, collaborate effectively across disciplines, and thrive as part of a cross-functional team. Your work is grounded in empathy for users, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering practical outcomes that help users make informed choices. In this role, you will apply your passion for tackling complex design problems with a focus on our customers’ needs. You are a versatile designer who steps back to analyze complex workflows and also dives into the details of interactions and user interface. You share early and often, holding nothing precious and collaborating with other designers to establish a world-class user experience for our customers across the Justworks product suite. You balance systems-level thinking with an eye for detail, constantly striving to shape complex, difficult user problems into simple, seamless experiences. Your Success Profile What You Will Work On Lead design experiences across the entire product development lifecycle, from discovery to conceptualization to delivery and launch Collaborate with other designers, product managers, researchers, marketers, data scientists, and engineers to identify and define design problems Conduct and collaborate on user research, testing, and data analysis to understand user behavior and inform design decisions Validate design decisions through rapid prototyping and experimentation Collaborate closely with engineers to deliver high-quality experiences Help shape our internal design system with consistency and efficiency in mind Help guide and support less-experienced designers contributing to shared efforts Perform other related responsibilities as needed based on department and/or organizational needs How You Will Do Your Work As a Senior Product Designer, how results are achieved is paramount for your success and ultimately result in our success as an organization. Simplicity - Be like Einstein: “Everything should be made as simple as possible, but no simpler.” Qualifications 5+ years of professional experience in product design, ideally in B2B SaaS, HR tech, benefits, insurance, or related domains. Experience with design for benefits, healthcare, and health/compliance adjacent workspaces Experience designing for complex, content-heavy workflows, preferably in heavily-regulated industries such as healthcare, insurance, benefits, or related domains Experience driving initiatives from discovery through delivery across multiple product areas. Experience working as part of a cross-functional team, collaborating fluidly with engineers, product managers, researchers, marketers, data scientists, and others A portfolio of professional (non-speculative) design work for real-world applications; and the ability to present your work in the form of case studies articulating the design problem, your process, and the eventual business impact Attention to detail, and a refined sense of craft in visual design, typography, and brand expression Fluency in Figma and comfort working with design systems. Portfolio A portfolio of case studies demonstrating experience leading complex product design efforts, including clear problem framing, collaboration processes, final solutions, and measurable outcomes. The base wage range for this position based in our New York City Office is targeted at $166,000.00 to $214,000.00 per year. LI-A #LI-Hybrid Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location. Salary ranges for positions based in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
