Credit Representative

Credit RepresentativeWe are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Credit Representative to join a leading fabric manufacturing and distribution company in Conover, NC. This position is responsible for managing customer credit accounts, monitoring outstanding balances, evaluating creditworthiness, and ensuring timely collections while maintaining positive customer relationships. The ideal candidate has a strong background in accounting, account management, and credit operations.Key ResponsibilitiesManage customer credit accounts and maintain accurate account recordsReview and evaluate new customer credit applications and supporting documentationMonitor customer payment history and outstanding balancesContact customers regarding past-due accounts and negotiate payment arrangements when necessaryReconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies promptlyPrepare aging reports and assist with collection efforts to reduce delinquent accountsProcess account adjustments, credit memos, and payment postingsWork closely with the sales, customer service, and accounting teams to resolve account issuesMaintain accurate documentation of customer communications and account activityEnsure compliance with company credit policies and proceduresAssist with month-end reporting and additional accounting projects as assignedRequired QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, credit, collections, or account managementStrong understanding of Accounts Receivable and credit management processesExperience reconciling customer accounts and resolving payment discrepanciesExcellent organizational skills with strong attention to detailProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality while handling financial informationHigh School Diploma or GED requiredPreferred QualificationsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related fieldExperience with ERP or accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, or similar systemsPrevious experience in manufacturing, textile, or distribution environmentsKnowledge of credit reporting, collections, and financial statement reviewExperience with customer account analysis and credit risk assessmentCore Competencies Credit Management, Account Management, Accounts Receivable, Accounting, Collections, Customer Account Reconciliation, Credit Analysis, Financial Reporting, Microsoft Excel, ERP Systems, Problem Solving, Attention to Detail, Communication, Time Management, Customer Service, Organizational Skills
