Pay Range: $34.06hr - $39.06hr

Job Description

The Procurement Agent II supports purchasing and sourcing strategies to meet organizational objectives, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and cost optimization.

This role involves supplier management, contract negotiation, risk analysis, stakeholder coordination, and continuous process improvement.

The position requires strong financial analysis, supply chain knowledge, and effective communication skills to manage procurement activities and supplier relationships.

Responsibilities

• Assist in driving innovation, improving processes, and enhancing supplier management systems.
• Execute purchasing and sourcing strategies to address short-term and long-term material requirements.
• Support negotiation of moderately complex purchase orders, change orders, requests for proposals, and contracts to achieve best value and favorable terms.
• Coordinate and document internal and external customer requirements.
• Monitor projects and schedules, identify issues, and maintain priorities for work in process.
• Communicate risks and issues across cross-functional teams.
• Assist with source selection and document purchase orders within delegated authority.
• Administer purchase order changes and enforce terms and conditions.
• Participate in new business acquisition and product or project development processes.
• Gather and analyze supplier performance data to monitor capability, capacity, and overall business health.
• Participate in supplier performance reviews and cross-functional improvement initiatives.
• Conduct root cause analysis and support development and monitoring of improvement plans.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with import and export requirements.
• Support analysis for risk resolution and gap identification.
• Train peers and stakeholders on procurement processes.
• Identify critical suppliers and develop engagement plans to proactively manage supply chain risk.
• Develop structured negotiation plans aligned with stakeholder input and business objectives.
• Protect physical, financial, and cybersecurity assets while maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information.

Experience

• Three to five years of experience in negotiating and purchasing.
• Three or more years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or contract management.
• Demonstrated knowledge of financial analysis, activity-based costing, and supply chain methodologies.
• Experience analyzing operational data and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience participating in negotiations and supplier management activities.

Skills

• Strong understanding of purchasing practices, procurement contracts, and standard terms and conditions.
• Experience using SAP in a purchasing environment and familiarity with sourcing and contracting tools.
• Knowledge of industry best practices, standards, regulations, and compliance requirements related to purchasing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentations, formal correspondence, contractual documentation, and negotiations.
• Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to follow established safety protocols and safe work practices.

Qualification And Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Professional certifications such as CPM, CPSM, CPCM, CCCM, or PMP are preferred.
