Outpatient Physical Therapist

The Outpatient Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating all assigned patients and developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction. The therapist will oversee all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients and ensure the design of functional treatment programs that allow for effective returns to community activities. The role includes serving as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers while maintaining compliance with the organization's mission and core values.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop treatment plans and goals.
• Document medical records in a clear, concise, and timely manner.
• Ensure care is provided under signed, valid physician orders.
• Participate in the student program by providing supervision and evaluations.
• Engage in ongoing professional development activities.
• Adhere to state practice acts and maintain professional licensure.
• Contribute to performance improvement initiatives within the organization.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 1+ years of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active and applicable state license for clinical practice.
• Prior experience with Select Medical is a plus but not required.

Schedule

This position follows a 5x8.0 schedule.
