Position Summary

Our client, a growing multi-unit restaurant organization, is seeking a Director of Supply Chain & Product Sourcing to lead sourcing strategy, supplier partnerships, and end-to-end supply chain operations. This senior leadership role is responsible for ensuring product quality, supply continuity, food safety, and operational excellence while supporting continued business growth.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience managing foodservice supply chains, strategic sourcing, supplier relationships, and cross-functional collaboration within a multi-unit restaurant or food manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Supply Chain & Product Management

· Lead the end-to-end sourcing lifecycle for food ingredients and restaurant products, ensuring quality, consistency, and supply reliability.

· Partner with Culinary, Operations, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams to evaluate new products, assess operational feasibility, and support successful product launches.

· Manage supplier, distributor, and internal stakeholder relationships to ensure seamless communication and operational execution.

· Identify emerging supply chain trends, technologies, and sourcing opportunities to improve efficiency, resiliency, and scalability.

· Oversee product transitions, product changes, and supply continuity to minimize operational disruptions.

Supplier Management & Strategic Sourcing

· Develop and maintain strategic supplier partnerships that support long-term business objectives.

· Negotiate supplier contracts, pricing, service agreements, and commercial terms.

· Monitor supplier performance through key performance indicators and proactively address quality, service, and supply issues.

· Drive sourcing strategies that balance quality, cost, availability, and operational efficiency.

Food Safety & Quality

· Establish and monitor food safety and quality assurance standards across the supply chain.

· Ensure supplier compliance with FDA Food Code, FSMA, GMPs, GFSI standards , and other applicable regulatory requirements.

· Monitor regulatory changes and industry best practices to maintain compliance and reduce operational risk.

· Partner with internal and external stakeholders to support continuous improvement initiatives and food safety programs.

Cross-Functional Leadership

· Collaborate with Operations, Culinary, Marketing, Training, and other departments to support product commercialization and restaurant readiness.

· Provide leadership on supply chain strategy, risk management, cost optimization, and vendor performance.

· Support new restaurant openings, market expansion, and distribution network development.

· Foster strong relationships across internal teams and external partners while promoting collaboration and operational excellence.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Food Science, Business, or a related field preferred.

· 10+ years of progressive supply chain experience within the restaurant, foodservice, food manufacturing, or consumer packaged goods industries.

· Experience managing complex supplier networks, sourcing programs, and multi-location distribution operations.

· Poultry sourcing experience strongly preferred.

· Demonstrated expertise in supplier negotiations, freight management, inventory planning, and distribution strategy.

· Knowledge of food manufacturing processes, GMPs, FSMA , FDA Food Code , and GFSI standards.

· Experience using supply chain systems, ERP platforms, and data analytics tools to drive decision-making.

· Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.

· Ability to travel approximately 25% as needed.
