Settlement Officer I (SO I), Estate Settlement, Private Bank- Accountable for administering smaller and/or less complicated probate estates and/or terminating trusts requiring technical experience and knowledge in estate and trust administration. Responsible for assisting senior officer(s) with the administration of more complex matters. Responsible for coordinating information with external partners (Attorneys and CPAs), and internal support partners (Tax, Compliance, Real Estate, BITS, etc.) to ensure accurate, timely and efficient administration, and to manage risk. Participates in sales calls as needed, offering Settlement expertise. Will involve responsibility for coaching, developing, and mentoring Settlement Administrators. Maintains high quality communications with beneficiaries, with focus on client satisfaction and asset retention. Non-licensed associate. Qualifications: BS/BA degree or equivalent experience; JD preferred 2-4 yrs experience working in the Private Bank Estate Administration area. Professional designation in paralegal studies and prior trust, estate, and/or tax experience preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking and prioritization is a necessity Works well as an individual contributor and member of a team Proficient use of Microsoft Office Ability to learn and apply new technology and systems Skills: Account Management Collaboration Customer and Client Focus Oral Communications Written Communications Attention to Detail Decision Making Prioritization Project Management Risk Management Active Listening Client Management Process Simplification Referral Identification Minimum Education Requirement: High School Diploma / GED / Secondary School or equivalent For internal employees: participation in a work from home posture does not make you eligible to post.
