Overview
Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery | San Luis Obispo, California | Start 09/21/2026 | 13 weeks | $2,771-$2,857 per week | 0 guaranteed hours | Nights 12-hour shifts (3x12) | Travel assignment in a hospital setting. The role covers antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care, including emergencies and circulating for C-sections. This position is represented by CNA.

Responsibilities
- Plan and provide nursing care for labor and delivery patients and their families across antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, respond to emergencies, and support obstetric interventions as needed
- Circulate for cesarean sections and assist the surgical team during operative deliveries
- Administer medications, manage labor progression, analgesia, and postpartum care within scope of practice
- Educate patients and families on newborn care, lactation, and postpartum recovery
- Supervise and delegate to ancillary personnel commensurate with scope of practice; ensure accurate documentation

Requirements
- Active registered nurse license in California
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Labor and Delivery nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work night shifts and in a fast-paced obstetric setting
- Education: Associate or Bachelor degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- This role may be represented by CNA
