Applying outside of your employee Workday account may cause delays in a hire process.**Department:**School of Public Affairs**Time Type:**Part time**FLSA Status:**Non-Exempt**Job Description:****Summary:**Support the Project on Civic Dialogue’s programming including through event planning, communications and marketing, dialogue facilitation, research, and program design.**Essential Functions:*** Learn and share principles of civic and academic dialogue.* Plan events for undergraduates, prospective students, and AU community that integrate dialogue across differences, civic engagement, depolarized communication, collaborative learning, academic freedom, and freedom of expression.* Promote PCD programming and curricular offerings.* Support Faculty Director and Staff Coordinator in developing and implementing curricular and cocurricular offerings that integrate dialogue into SPA and AU.**Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:*** Part-time.* 10 hours per week.**Salary Range:*** $18.40 per hour.**Required Education and Experience:*** Open to undergraduate or graduate students at American University.* Students in good academic standing at American University.* Demonstrated interest in civic dialogue.**Additional Eligibility Qualifications:*** PCD welcomes students with varied experiences.* No prior work experience is necessary, but we encourage interested students to reflect upon the role that dialogue has played in prior jobs and to share this insight with their peers.**Other Details*** **This position is available only to enrolled American University students.*** Please note this job announcement is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
