About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Construction to lead the management and implementation of capital projects across its academic health system. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full capital delivery process, ensuring that projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in line with the organization's goals for cost, quality, and schedule performance. This role involves overseeing a dynamic portfolio of approximately $1 billion in annual capital investment, including major hospital construction, advanced research laboratories, and various other healthcare and research facilities. The Vice President will also be tasked with maintaining an effective organizational structure, leading project management and finance teams, and fostering a culture of collaboration and respect for design and engineering operations. Applicants for the Vice President, Construction position at the company should have a Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree preferred, and at least 15 years of experience in healthcare facilities, including a minimum of 10 years in the management of large, complex healthcare and academic medical center projects. The role requires a high level of analytical ability, extensive knowledge of building healthcare facilities and related safety and regulatory requirements, and proficiency in computer applications. The Vice President will be expected to demonstrate leadership, provide mentorship, and ensure clear communication among all project stakeholders. The position also involves collaboration with other senior leaders to resolve design issues, support ongoing operations, and make critical decisions that affect project goals.
