AFC Urgent Care Harpers Point is a state-of-the-art clinic dedicated to providing high-quality, efficient, and compassionate care to our community. Our team of healthcare professionals is committed to delivering exceptional patient experiences seven days a week on a walk-in or appointment basis. This location is equipped with an onsite lab and in-house x-ray capability. Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Obtain patient vitals, medical history, and reason for visit, and prepare the patient for a physical exam
- Explain prescribed procedures and treatments to patients
- Ensure all ordered tests are performed accurately and in a timely manner
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with the approved procedure
- Draw blood and preparation labs for reference lab processing and/or in-house processing
- Perform laboratory tests, lab-quality controls, and equipment maintenance according to written instructions
- Respond to all lab messages and call back requests
- Perform all drug screening procedures in accordance with established rules and regulations
- Ensure patient immunizations are well documented and administered in accordance with the approved procedure
- Conduct physician referrals as well as service pre-certifications on an as-needed basis
- Prepare exam rooms; sterilize instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation
- Other duties and responsibilities incliuding front office as assigned
Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. AMT registered and AAMA Certified Medical Assistants are preferred. Clinic Hours
8am-8pm Mon-Fri
8am-6pm Sat-Sun
