This posting is a general pool application to volunteer in the athletics department at the SCC Lincoln campus. The position is unpaid. Athletic programs include Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball, Men’s Cross Country, Women’s Cross Country, and ESports. Responsibilities (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS) Assisting with player recruitment Scouting and viewing films of upcoming games Driving vans to away games Advising student‑athletes in their pursuit of athletic goals Teaching basic and complicated skills Working with the media Attendance at both games and practices Development of strength and conditioning for practice season Supervising the gym or other duties as assigned

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS

May be required to perform associated duties in other divisions/programs/areas. Perform other College functions and duties as assigned. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for short distances, and move tables, chairs, and media equipment. Ability to communicate effectively in writing, in person, and on the phone. The individual must possess the above skills and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. Minimum Qualifications High School diploma Eligibility for auto insurance coverage Possess and maintain a current, valid Driver’s License.
