Responsibilities Cleaning and maintenance of pet suites, condos, general boarding areas, and kitchen Feeding and watering pet guests Monitoring and charting every pet guest Monitoring pet belongings Laundering duties Assisting other associates and performing other duties as needed Welcomes both human and pet guests Correctly identify animal body language/behavior Follow safe handling procedures Check in and out of pet guests while providing excellent customer service Escort pets to and from their rooms Maintain overall cleanliness of the facility Communicate with management and team members Sanitize/disinfect pet suites, condos, and general boarding areas Monitor and chart consumption and elimination of every pet and report concerns to management Provide individual care of boarding guests and feed/medicate according to instructions Perform scheduled activities as assigned Qualifications Possess a love of animals Display a professional manner at all times Ability to work evenings, weekends & holidays Lift/carry 40 pounds or more Able to stand/walk for eight hours a day Able to work in a fast-paced environment Able to work on a computer system Able to handle dogs on leashes and work in environments with disinfectants, animal dander, and excretions Education High School Graduate or Equivalent At least 1 year of professional animal experience Job Details Seniority level: Entry level Employment type: Full-time Job function: Other Industries: Pet Services Benefits Health, dental, vision, life insurance, STD/LTD, 401K with company matching ESOP - Employee Stock Ownership Plan (100% company paid) Paid vacation Uniforms Pet supply and service discounts and more Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Best Friends Pet Care.
