Job Responsibilities & Duties

• Remove snow & ice in winters by plowing, snow blowing, shoveling, spreading salt, etc.
• Perform basic routine maintenance & repairs on building, machines, equipment
• Maintain stocks of cutter knives & screens
• Read and interpret manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance tasks
• Greasing of necessary equipment.
• Changing out of cutter knives,6 knife 12 knife, grinder, u-machine, condux
• Sharpening of cutters in mills
• Repair and replace cutter screens as necessary
• Basic plant maintenance
• Ability to follow written screen change , knifing sheets with minimal supervision
• Use of variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment
• Perform other related duties and assignments as directed by plant management.
• Strip and make cutter screens
• Run knife sharpener

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions for extended periods of time
• Ability to operate company owned equipment (mowers, plow truck, forklifts, man lifts, etc.)
• Ability to work at heights of 50' on occasion
• Ability to work in confined spaces periodically
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
