POSITION: Medical Assistant
COMPENSATION: $17 - 18/hour (going up to $18 - 19 July 1, 2023)

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Rooming patients
Taking vitals
Assisting with testing
Documentation
Representing the University in a positive, professional manner with patients and staff.
Cleaning
Maintaining stock

SKILLS:

Medical Assistant certification
Externship as part of certification is minimum experience level
Fluent in English
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to take vitals and other basic clinical functions

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Mostly outpatient clinical environment
Employees are usually assigned to clinics in the Taubman Center, the Cancer Center (attached to University Hospital), or one of the UM clinics at Domino's Farms.
Must be fully vaccinated for Covid-19 including booster if eligible.
New employees should expect to allow extra time to find their department on their first day.
