Job Description

As a Security Officer Badge Desk in Houston, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will greet visitors, manage access, monitor activity at the entry point, and support security-related operations through clear communication and professional presence. This role offers the chance to deliver outstanding customer service while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity in a people-first culture.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a front desk location.
• Monitor access to the location by greeting arrivals, verifying credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and communicating entry procedures in accordance with site protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Support front desk operations within an industrial location by answering questions, directing foot traffic, documenting activity, and helping to deter unauthorized access through attentive presence and consistent policy application.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
