As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Desk Driver in Houston, TX , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.38 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service at the front desk by following site-specific procedures, monitoring access points, and assisting visitors, staff, and vendors entering the location.
• Support a professional front desk presence by verifying identification, maintaining visitor logs, issuing access credentials, and communicating entry procedures as directed.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
• Answer phones, receive inquiries, and help direct guests to the appropriate department while observing front lobby activity and documenting relevant security-related information.
• Assist with emergency response activities at the location by following post orders, sharing timely information, and coordinating with site personnel and/or public officials as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• An active DoD Confidential Clearance is required.
• Must be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
