As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Driver in Houston, TX , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $14.50 / Hour Job Schedule: Friday 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM How This Role Works: Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities: Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access‑related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual conditions in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public emergency services as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unauthorized activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns. Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and help to support security‑related procedures for deliveries, contractors, and restricted areas. Complete routine reports and logs related to patrol activity, incidents, and/or daily operations while following Allied Universal standards and site policies. Minimum Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. A guard card and/or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
