As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Services in Houston, TX , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $14.71 / Hour Job Schedule: Thursday: 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM How This Role Works Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by following site‑specific procedures and supporting security‑related protocols at a chemical and petrochemical location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and documenting observed activity. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout buildings, operational areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity in accordance with post orders, visitor procedures, and other location policies. Complete required reports, logs, and communication updates related to daily activities, incidents, and/or emergency response actions. Minimum Requirements At least 6 months of security‑related experience is required. Applicants must be 21+ years of age. Customer service experience is preferred. Access control and/or badge experience is preferred. At this site there are limited on‑site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
