As an Armed Patrol Officer in a busy retail location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This is an armed and driving post. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour Pre-Employment Requirements (Contractual) 21+ Years of Age (C101) Active Armed Guard Card/License (Texas only) (C122) Valid Driver's License - AU Driver Policy Requirements (C123) 3+ Years' Combined Law Enforcement/Corrections/Military OR 5+ Years Armed Security Experience (C158) Job Schedule: Tue 04:00 PM – 10:30 PM, Wed 04:00 PM – 10:30 PM, Thur 04:00 PM – 10:30 PM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to site contacts and/or local authorities when needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor entrances, exits, high-traffic areas, and/or restricted spaces while maintaining awareness of asset protection concerns, customer interactions, and site rules. Carry authorized equipment in accordance with post orders and Allied Universal guidelines, and support security-related response efforts involving trespassing, theft-related incidents, disorderly conduct, and/or emergency situations. Minimum Requirements: Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience or 5+ years of armed security experience. Be at least 21+ years of age. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Possess a Level III Armed Certification for Texas only. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
