Charge Nurse

Digestive Health Specialists, P.A., a leading gastroenterology group based in Winston Salem, is currently recruiting for a full-time Charge Nurse (RN) to join our team in Advance. We are a well-established and growing practice; founded originally in 1979 and have grown to serve our patients now in 5 locations. Job Description Summary:

The Charge Nurse is responsible for overseeing the Endoscopy unit in their specific location within Digestive Health Specialists. Charge Nurses perform such duties as delegating nursing assignments, preparing schedules, overseeing admissions and discharges and monitoring and ordering medicines and supplies. In addition to these managerial tasks, charge nurses also may carry a patient load depending on their work load.

• Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina
• Current BLS Certification
• ACLS Certification Preferred or will obtain within 6 months
• 3+ years Medical Surgical Outpatient and/or Hospital Experience, preferred
• Language - Must be able to read and write English at high school level. Must communicate effectively. Must be able to read numbers and do basic math calculations.
• Transportation - Must have transportation, current NC Driver's License without restrictions and vehicle insurance.
