MEMCO Staffing is currently seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators for construction projects throughout the Greater Houston Area . We are looking for dependable operators with hands-on experience operating heavy machinery, including excavators, dozers, and loaders .
Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently on construction sites.
- Operate excavators, bulldozers/dozers, loaders, and other heavy machinery as assigned.
- Operate GPS-equipped heavy equipment , particularly dozers, to perform grading and earthwork according to project specifications.
- Perform excavation, grading, site clearing, loading, and material-moving activities.
- Read and follow project plans, grade stakes, GPS information, and site instructions.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
- Follow all company and OSHA safety procedures while operating equipment.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, laborers, grade checkers, and other equipment operators.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Complete assigned work efficiently while meeting project deadlines and specifications.
Qualifications
- Previous commercial construction experience operating heavy equipment.
- Proven experience operating excavators, dozers, and/or loaders .
- Experience operating GPS-controlled or GPS-equipped equipment is highly preferred, especially dozers.
- Ability to safely operate equipment in an active construction environment.
- Knowledge of grading, excavation, earthwork, and material handling.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Strong understanding of construction-site safety practices.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
