Job Summary:
Laparoscopic & Delivery Department nurse position in an acute care unit. The role involves providing high-quality patient care for obstetric and high-risk obstetric patients, including managing C-sections, antepartum, and neonatal care with a focus on customer service. The position requires the ability to handle a fast-paced environment and perform full assessments and exams independently.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, from 10/12/2026 to 12/21/2026.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support) from the American Heart Association, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), at least 2 years of relevant experience, high-risk obstetric experience, and strong assessment skills.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in obstetrics and delivery, customer service orientation, ability to work independently performing exams and assessments, familiarity with electronic medical records (EPIC), and prior experience with high-acuity obstetrics patients.
• Additional Information: Nurses may need to assist with exams and assessments, but cannot insert intrauterine pressure catheters (IUPC). Weekend shifts occur every third weekend; Friday and Saturday night shifts are typical in this unit. The hospital provides scrub colors, and in-house coverage includes hospitalist or intensivist teams three nights a week. Tasks may include rotating in OB or nursery units, with floor-specific orientation lasting 2-3 shifts.
