Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery unit. This position requires a BSN and proficiency in handling high-risk obstetric patients. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, and be prepared to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

Schedule

This is a 12-hour night shift position. Weekend requirements include being scheduled for every third weekend during the day, with night shift weekends on Friday and Saturday. Guaranteed hours are 34.5 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Perform full assessments and manage care for labor and delivery patients.
• Conduct exams and be responsible for patient education and support.
• Work collaboratively with a charge nurse and nursing aides, ensuring the completion of patient care tasks and assessments.
• Manage a variety of cases including C-sections and high-risk obstetric patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must hold a BSN degree.
• Active RN license required.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program).
• High-risk obstetric experience is preferred.
