Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Physician

Job Summary The Division of Pediatric Critical Care at Janet Weis Children’s Hospital, Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA is seeking a BC/BE Pediatric Intensivist. Candidates must possess superior clinical and interpersonal skills and a strong desire to participate in program development, research, and medical education. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive pediatric critical care for complex medical patients, pediatric trauma patients, and cardiovascular surgery patients within a 14‑bed PICU. Lead and manage the sedation service, delivering over 800 sedations per year. Participate in program development, quality and safety initiatives, and research projects. Educate and mentor pediatric, med/peds, emergency medicine residents, medical students, and mid‑level practitioners. Collaborate with subspecialists and support related services such as chronic ventilation, palliative care, respiratory care, and simulation. Qualifications Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) required. Board-certification in Pediatric Critical Care (BC/BE) or equivalent. Minimum 5 years of post‑fellowship clinical experience in pediatric intensive care (recent fellowship graduates considered). Strong clinical and interpersonal skills. Experience or interest in pediatric quality and safety leadership. Commitment to program development, research, and medical education.
