Early Learning Specialist – Responsibilities Oversee the full implementation of Acelero Learning’s early learning system, policies, procedures, and tools to support children’s attainment of School Readiness Goals. Ensure all staff and center functions are fully compliant with policies, procedures, and applicable regulations, including health and safety, Head Start Performance Standards, and local/state licensing requirements. Manage operations to meet changing program needs within available resources, minimizing sacrifice to quantity or quality. Initiate, sponsor, and implement organizational change to improve service quality and effectiveness. Support the education team in planning and delivering comprehensive, differentiated, sequential professional development; coach and mentor teaching staff and administer CLASSTM and other performance tools. Apply expertise in performance‑based assessment to support directors and teachers in understanding child outcomes data and using results to plan and individualize instruction. Guide staff in the implementation of early learning curriculum with fidelity; provide ongoing consultation to support differentiated instruction for children with IFSPs, IEPs, or challenging behaviors. Ensure timely identification, referral, and transition support for children with disabilities in coordination with Part C agencies and/or LEAs. Track child outcomes and program quality data across classrooms and centers, analyze data, and make program development recommendations. Conduct team and 1‑to‑1 meetings, scheduled and as needed, to coordinate education services across the Head Start program. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field with at least six courses in early childhood education and experience teaching preschool‑aged children, OR state‑awarded preschool teaching certification with relevant experience; Master’s degree preferred. Minimum one year of managerial/supervisory experience. Experience supervising/coaching in an early childhood setting; prior Head Start or Early Head Start experience preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Must have CPR and First Aid certification or obtain it within the first year of employment. Physical exam and background checks are required. Travel required locally or long‑distance up to 10% of the time for work‑related meetings and functions. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Salary $79,000 annually.
