Must-Have: Experience with L&D patients, GYN surgeries, antepartum, postpartum care, NSTs, triage, postpartum and newborn assessments, and nursery care.

Description: The facility is a Level III Trauma Center with 64 beds. The unit contains 8 LDRP/Antepartum beds. The average patient census includes L&D patients at 35 weeks, GYN surgeries, antepartum, and postpartum cases. The nurse-to-patient ratio for laboring patients is 1:1. For couples, antepartum, and surgical patients, the ratio is 1:3. Charge RN duties include taking patients as needed. RNs will draw blood and utilize FHM technology at bedside and the nurse's station. No telemetry is available. Resource RNs are present. OB MD response time is within 30 minutes. The unit employs EPIC as the electronic medical record system. Equipment includes Alaris IV Pumps and Pyxis for medication dispensing. Floats may occur to inpatient units to act as a sitter or in a CNA role. Weekend rotation is required every other week. On-call scheduling is variable based on the contract. Holiday requests for time off can be approved up to 7 days. Scrub colors are flexible.
