Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and execution of corporate strategy initiatives, including long-range planning, market assessments, investment evaluations, and corporate development activities.
- Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies to provide actionable insights that inform business strategy and growth initiatives.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance power market and financial models used to support strategic planning, investment decisions, portfolio optimization, and commercial activities.
- Conduct scenario analyses, sensitivity testing, and market forecasting to assess opportunities, risks, and potential business outcomes.
- Partner with cross-functional teams across Development, Finance, Operations, Commercial, and Energy Management functions to drive strategic initiatives and support decision-making.
- Prepare presentations, analyses, and recommendations for senior leadership and other key stakeholders.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, market structures, and long-term growth opportunities to support innovation and competitive positioning.
- Monitor portfolio and business performance, identifying value creation opportunities, key risks, and capital allocation priorities.
- Support investment analysis, valuation exercises, portfolio reporting, and strategic business planning efforts.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Energy Systems, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 4-7 years of experience in corporate strategy, market analytics, energy finance, private equity, infrastructure investing, asset management, renewable energy, power markets, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of U.S. power markets, renewable energy technologies, market fundamentals, and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience analyzing market trends, competitive dynamics, and investment opportunities within the energy, infrastructure, or utility sectors.
- Advanced financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills with strong proficiency in Excel; experience with Python, SQL, Tableau, or similar analytical tools is a plus.
- Background supporting investment analysis, portfolio management, valuation, market intelligence, strategic planning, or performance reporting initiatives.
- Ability to synthesize complex market, financial, and operational data into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience developing materials for executive leadership and investment committees.
- Proven ability to collaborate across technical, commercial, and leadership teams in a fast-paced environment.
