Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Bel Air, Maryland. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/28/2026 Duration: 20 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary ICU Registered Nurse (Intensive Care Unit) Nights Location: unspecified. This position involves providing comprehensive critical care to adult and geriatric patients within the ICU setting. The role requires utilizing advanced clinical skills to manage complex patient conditions, including stroke, renal failure, cardiac issues, respiratory failure, and post-surgical care. Job Details Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required. Experience: 2+ years of ICU experience, including patient care and charting system proficiency. Responsibilities: Assist with chest tube insertion/removal, blood product administration, ventilated patient care, central line management, continuous IV sedation, CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy), hypothermia protocols, infection prevention, arterial blood gas interpretation, dysrhythmia management, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) management, PICC line care, and IV initiation and maintenance. Equipment: Ceiling lifts, emergency carts, central line supplies, critical airway carts, chest tube and pacer carts, bronch carts, chemo carts, CRRT carts, and Malignant Hyperthermia carts. Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics, with a daily census of approximately 12 patients. Additional Requirements: Must be comfortable floating within scope; float rotation may be required. Submission: Candidates must have an active MD or Compact License, and go in for labs within 72 hours of signing the contract. Compliance documents are due 5 days prior to start.
