Responsibilities 40% - Design, perform and analyze experiments to study the structure/function relationships of assigned proteins from Mycobacterium tuberculosis and other organisms. 10% - Cloning and expression of proteins of interest. 20% - Purification of proteins in sufficient quantity to obtain crystals. Crystallization of proteins. Data collection and analysis. 10% - Preparing data for grant application 10% - Monitoring and quality control of drug library. High-throughput drug screens. Assist with laboratory management of stocks, supplies and equipment. 5% - Communicating and conducting collaborations with pharmaceutical partners 5% - Training students and other duties as required. Required Qualifications Ph.D. in Biochemistry or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Eight years of related experience. Required Special Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others. Position Funding This position is grant funded and availability is contingent on grant funding.
