About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Clinical Operations to play a pivotal role in the global leadership of clinical research. The successful candidate will be the operational deputy and strategic partner to the VP, Clinical Operations, with a focus on translating high-level clinical strategy into effective portfolio delivery and global execution. This executive will be responsible for integrated leadership across the clinical operations ecosystem, maintaining portfolio-wide visibility, and driving operational excellence. Key responsibilities include functional and strategic alignment, risk mitigation, and leadership coaching. The role also involves talent development, global synchronization, and performance architecture, as well as resource, budget, and vendor management. Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, nursing, or business discipline, with a preference for an advanced degree. A minimum of 15 years of clinical research experience, including 7 years in a senior, multi-functional leadership capacity, is required. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in oncology, with direct operational experience in managing advanced therapeutic modality trials. The role demands a proven track record in leading global clinical trials, driving Phase III registrational trials, and preparing operations for commercialization. The candidate should be adept at managing large-scale CRO partnerships, possess strong communication and influencing skills, and demonstrate the ability to lead enterprise-wide change management and digital evolution.
