Details Acute care medical/surgical unit in a hospital setting 44-bed unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5, potentially 1:6 CNA support available on the unit, typically at a 1:8–1:10 ratio Telemetry monitoring available, though monitored from a separate unit MEDITECH EMR in use; experience preferred but not required Day shift, 12-hour shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) Every other weekend required Holiday coverage required on an as-needed basis Floating required to other acute care units, cardiology (for medical patients), and the EC for acute care patient holds 17-week contract Requirements Active RN license — GA state or Compact license required Current BLS and NIHSS certifications (both must be AHA-issued) Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg or acute care nursing experience At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment required A copy of your Driver's License is required for consideration Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility (based on Driver's License address) to be eligible Additional Information Orientation consists of approximately 1 week of general orientation (including EMR training) followed by 2 days of floor-specific orientation Scrub color requirement: Caribbean Blue Candidates who have been employed by this facility within the last 12 months are not eligible for placement Any time-off or scheduling requests must be submitted prior to the start of the assignment First-time travelers are not eligible for this position — prior travel experience is required American Traveler Job ID P-713981.
