AccountantIII Location: FortWright, KY Pay: $32.00 - $39.00 per hour, based on experience Schedule: First Shift, Monday-Friday Type: Contract-to-Hire Work Environment: 100% Onsite LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced AccountantIII for a contract-to-hire opportunity with our client in FortWright, KY. This fully onsite position is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and taking ownership of key accounting functions. The selected candidate will support month-end close activities, account reconciliations, financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and accounts payable processes while collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial information. Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries Perform monthly account reconciliations and account analysis Support month-end and year-end close processes Assist with accounts payable activities and related accounting functions Review and reconcile intercompany transactions Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger Provide support for audits and financial reporting requirements Analyze financial data and investigate discrepancies Utilize Microsoft Excel to manipulate, reconcile, and analyze accounting information Partner with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required 3+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and account reconciliations Experience supporting month-end close activities Intercompany accounting experience preferred Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including lookups, formulas, and data analysis Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently Preferred Experience Manufacturing industry experience ERP system experience Audit support experience Experience working in a multi-entity accounting environment Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
