As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Specialist in Richmond, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer in a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public partners as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify identification, credentials, and/or visitor authorization in accordance with site policies and government facility requirements.
• Support assigned post orders and reporting duties, including preparing incident reports, maintaining activity logs, and following protocols related to alarms, disturbances, and/or restricted areas.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
