Assistant Cultivation Manager

About the Role (job title and summary) The Assistant Cultivation Manager position is responsible for assisting the Cultivation Manager with the cultivation team, overseeing daily processes related to the cultivation of cannabis. The Assistant Manager - Cultivation supports leadership initiatives, guides Cultivation Team Leads and Technicians through daily tasks essential to producing the highest quality cannabis, provides regular supervision, and supplies status updates to the Management team. How you'll make a difference (required duties and responsibilities) Execute the IPM plan by regularly inspecting each cultivation room, charting progress, identifying problems early, ensuring corrective actions, and logging events. Coordinate with the Manager on any changes that may need to be implemented. Implement daily feed and care schedules as directed by Cultivation Management. Coordinate with the team to ensure consistency and discretion when crop pruning at various stages. Accurately maintain reports on all cultivation activities. Coordinate with the Cultivation management team to ensure that propagation activities meet inventory requirements. Coordinate and oversee waste destruction events and maintain accurate reporting. Coordinate with the team to ensure consistency with post-harvest processing, including trimming and sorting for delivery to the packaging department. Conduct routine visual inspections of plants to identify pests/deficiencies and report findings to the Cultivation Manager. Ensure that all cultivation equipment and supplies are on hand and ready for use. Notify management through approved channels of any maintenance or inventory issues in a timely manner to avoid work stoppages. Properly use, maintain, and store all tools and equipment—including shop vacuums, pumps, hoses, carts, scissors, loppers, stools, gloves, rags, etc. Monitor and document daily metrics: temperatures, humidity levels, pH, and any other metrics identified by the Cultivation Management team. Ensure that all metrics are recorded accurately and within a timely fashion, including nutrients, cloning, repotting, reservoir records, equipment, and other crop-related logs assigned by management. Participate in regular audits. Identify plant health issues related to feed/fertilizers and execute corrective actions as needed. Participate in cultivation planning activities such as calendar layouts, propagation planning, analysis, and other planning tasks necessary for proper business function. Assist the management team with the maintenance of the Operations Manual and SOPs. Be fluent or quickly obtain functional knowledge of all company software platforms.
