Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a census of up to 30 beds
• Manage a patient population including cardiac, respiratory, infectious disease, pre- and post-operative, endocrine, and CVA diagnoses
• Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 on night shift
• Float to sister units as required, including comparable Med/Surg and Observation units
• Accurately document all patient care activities using EPIC electronic health records
• Complete required pre-start orientation modules prior to first shift

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered New York State Registered Nurse license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in Medical Surgical or Telemetry
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records (hard requirement)
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
• Willingness to float to sister units and work every other weekend

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) training or background strongly preferred
• Experience working in a Certified Stroke Center environment
• Familiarity with CVA patient management and stroke protocols
