Labcorp seeks a Medical Lab Technologist for Swedish First Hill Hospital in Seattle, Washington. The position involves performing laboratory testing procedures, operating and troubleshooting instrumentation, evaluating specimens, and ensuring accurate patient care delivery on a Monday-Friday evening shift with rotating weekends.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate specimen acceptability and perform routine and complex technical testing procedures
- Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation for proper functionality
- Execute preventative maintenance, quality control procedures, and document results
- Prepare and evaluate new reagents or controls; make technical decisions regarding testing
- Report accurate and timely test results while maintaining safe work environment
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
- ASCP or AMT certification
- Pass standardized color blindness test
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively under minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Compensation: $34.21-$52.14 per hour plus second shift differential
