This position reports to: Supplier Quality Lead

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop packaging crates, skids for oversized equipment.
• Develop returnable carts, racks, and trolleys for internal movement and supplier-to-plant logistics.
• Designs should be ergonomic and safe for operators, compatible with forklifts, pallet jacks, and automated systems.
• Perform structural design for dynamic loads, impact during movement, and long lifecycle usage.
• Standardized cart platforms across product families.
• Ensure design is compliant with ISPM-15, ISTA / ASTM packaging standards, OSHA safety requirements while developing the solution.
• Work on optimization projects to reduce costs.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field
• 3+ years of experience in heavy-duty packaging design, returnable packaging/cart / rack design
• Familiar with key industry standards such as ISPM-15, ISTA/ASTM, OSHAS.
• Need to have knowledge of shipping standards (trailer, container etc...)
• Knowledge of testing & validation of packaging like drop, tilt & impact tests, vibration & shock simulations, stacking tests.
• Familiar with CAD tools like Solid Works, AutoCAD.
