Job Title: Registered Dietitian

Location: Bronx, NY

Position Type: Contract (14 Weeks)

Pay Rate: $2,186–$2,320/Week

Start Date: July 27, 2026

Schedule:

• 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM

• 35 hours per week

• Monday to Friday

• 1-hour break

• Weekends and holidays required, typically 1–2 weekends per month

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian to provide comprehensive nutritional care and education to patients. The ideal candidate will have recent inpatient experience and strong knowledge of clinical nutrition, dietary assessment, and patient education.

Responsibilities:

• Screen and assess patients based on their level of care and nutritional needs.

• Determine patients' nutritional status and provide appropriate follow-up care.

• Interview patients and families to understand dietary habits and preferences.

• Review and interpret laboratory, physical, and social information relevant to nutrition care.

• Provide nutrition education and document dietary instructions and patient understanding.

• Monitor and educate patients regarding food and drug interactions.

• Consult with physicians regarding appropriate diet modifications.

• Modify patient menus based on individual nutritional requirements.

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics, Foods and Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited college/university

• Minimum 2 years of experience required

• Recent inpatient experience required

• 3+ years of experience preferred

• Registered Dietitian credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)

• Strong English communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing)

• Additional credentials such as CDCES or CNSC highly desired

Preferred:

• Master's Degree

• AHA BLS Certification
