Title: Software Engineer (AI-First)

Location: Chandler, AZ (Hybrid)

Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire

Compensation: $60–$70/hour during contract | $130,000–$140,000 upon conversion

Position Overview

We are seeking an AI-first Software Engineer to build modern business applications that address complex operational challenges. This role will contribute to an enterprise workflow platform that brings together information from systems such as SAP, Salesforce, SharePoint, Snowflake, and other business applications.

The engineer will focus primarily on developing new functionality that automates manual workflows, increases visibility across systems, and enables business teams to operate more efficiently. Applications are being developed within the Palantir Foundry ecosystem; previous Palantir experience is not required. Candidates should bring strong Python, React, and API development experience along with an interest in learning a new enterprise platform.

The ideal candidate uses AI-assisted development tools to increase productivity while maintaining strong engineering fundamentals and ownership of application design, coding, debugging, and overall code quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and enhance modern web applications using Python and React.
• Design and develop REST APIs that connect applications with enterprise systems and data sources.
• Develop workflow automation capabilities that streamline manual business processes.
• Create intuitive interfaces that bring together information from multiple enterprise platforms.
• Partner with business analysts and end users to understand needs and refine application functionality.
• Work within an iterative development model, delivering features and enhancements incrementally.
• Troubleshoot application issues, debug code, and identify opportunities to improve performance.
• Learn Palantir Foundry and develop applications within its platform and ecosystem.
• Contribute to secure, scalable application designs with appropriate permissions and user access controls.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools where appropriate while maintaining ownership and understanding of the underlying code.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on development experience with Python and React.
• Experience designing and developing REST APIs.
• Experience integrating applications and data across multiple enterprise systems.
• Solid understanding of software design principles, application development practices, and debugging techniques.
• Ability to work directly with business stakeholders to understand operational challenges and translate needs into effective software solutions.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical team members.
• Adaptable, curious, and comfortable learning new technologies and development platforms.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with TypeScript.
• Experience integrating enterprise systems such as Salesforce, SAP, Snowflake, or SharePoint.
• Background building workflow automation or operational business applications.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, or similar technologies.
• Exposure to Palantir Foundry or comparable enterprise data platforms.
