Appellate Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks a skilled Appellate Attorney in New Orleans, LA. This role focuses on appellate work in state and federal courts, primarily within insurance defense litigation, with opportunities to contribute to trial-level motions. Duties Draft appellate briefs, motions, and legal memoranda. Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis. Present oral arguments before appellate courts. Collaborate with trial attorneys to preserve issues for appeal. Contribute to trial-level work, including dispositive motions. Stay informed on developments in insurance defense and appellate practice. Requirements Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the Louisiana State Bar and in good standing. 5-10 years of experience in insurance defense litigation. Strong analytical, research, and writing skills. Exceptional writing and oral advocacy skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. High level of professionalism and ethical standards. Enthusiasm for handling both appellate and non-appellate matters. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Admission to the Louisiana State Bar.
