Job Description:To provide medical expertise to support patients in living the healthiest lives possible.About this role:Intermountain Health is seeking a Trauma Surgeon to join a team of experienced surgeons, APPs, and support staff to work at Intermountain Medical Center, a 504-bed ACS-verified L evel I Trauma Center and provide emergency general surgery service coverage at LDS Hospital , also located in the Salt Lake Valley . You can anticipate working as an equal member of multi-disciplinary teams supporting advanced therapies for complex trauma and critically ill patients. The Trauma Services provider team is currently made up of 8 physicians and 12 APPs.In this role you can anticipate:Practicing clinically at Intermountain Medical Center and LDS Hospital in the greater Salt Lake Valley ,24/7 trauma coverage; to include trauma floor coverage, emergency general surgery coverage, and shock trauma ICU coverageWeekday 10/14 hour day/night shifts, weekend 7/17 hour day/night shifts1-3 restricted trauma night shifts per month and 1-3 unrestricted ACS night shifts per monthBed-side and tele-health trauma coverage while on shiftSupervision of EM and General Surgery residents, as well as medical students, NP and PA students.This position includes a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for those who qualify.How we'll support you:We care about your well-being which is why we provide our caregivers a generous benefits package.
