Forklift Operator (Sit Down) (2nd Shift)

Location: New Jersey

Schedule: Monday Friday, 4:00 PM 12:30 AM

Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour

Job Overview: We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Sit-Down Forklift Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a sit-down forklift to efficiently unload, load, put away, and store inventory in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This full-time position offers consistent hours and the opportunity to contribute to smooth warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate sit-down forklifts to move, load, unload, and store inventory
• Assist with inventory management by accurately placing items in designated storage areas
• Perform routine inspections of the forklift and report any maintenance issues
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed during forklift operation
• Support team members during downtime through manual labor tasks such as lifting and organizing inventory
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Qualifications:

• 6 months Sit Down Forklift Experience is required
• Valid forklift certification/license preferred
• Previous experience operating a sit-down forklift in a warehouse setting
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects as required
• Good communication skills and attention to safety
• Comfortable with manual labor tasks during downtime, especially during certain weeks of the month

• This position requires some manual labor during periods of downtime, which may involve lifting and moving inventory manually
• Candidates must be comfortable with physical work and manual handling responsibilities
• Team-oriented with a strong work ethic and dependability
