Business Development Manager, Small Modular Nuclear Reactors Peoria, AZ The Michels Preconstruction Services, Inc. team plays a critical role in the development of large, complex energy, infrastructure, marine and transportation projects. Responsibilities Develop new business opportunities through relationship building and enhancing Michels’ brand awareness in the Small Modular Nuclear Reactor market. Act as an ambassador to promote Michels as the contractor of choice. Engage with clients and partners to establish a project pipeline and win strategies within the assigned industry. Educate stakeholders on collaborative delivery methods. Represent Michels at industry-relevant tradeshows and coordinate with management and marketing to drive growth through effective messaging and investment. Provide direction to Proposal Managers and Marketing on developing collateral content. Ensure the CRM tool, Salesforce, is accurate and updated. Offer input during bidding to establish pursuit strategies and prepare proposals. Prepare industry insights for the annual business planning process and actively participate in business development meetings. Coordinate cross‑selling opportunities and implement the One Michels approach. Develop project‑specific win strategies, attend industry events to gain local contacts, and support the creation of high‑quality proposal documents throughout the pursuit process. Qualifications 10+ years of professional experience. Awareness of Small Modular Nuclear Reactors and industry stakeholders. Experience in the construction and/or engineering industry. Experience developing scopes with clients and communicating with internal stakeholders. Familiarity with public sector work desired. Experience presenting to large groups or forums. Must possess a valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles which may be driven and an acceptable driving record. Travel required up to 50‑60% of the time. Salesforce experience is a plus.
