OUTPATIENT THERAPIST (LICENSED)-PRN

Responsibilities Outpatient Therapist Opportunity West Oaks Outpatient Branches offers a broad continuum of outpatient mental health services for adolescents, adults, and seniors. We train staff in a treatment model of social learning and positive reinforcement to promote positive behaviors. Outpatient programs teach life skills and coping mechanisms to enrich patients’ lives. We offer behavioral health programs at multiple levels of care including inpatient, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient, available 24/7 to assist patients and answer questions about treatment options and insurance coverage. West Oaks Outpatient Branches Houston seeks a dedicated and positive Therapist to join our compassionate team. The Outpatient Therapist will work with adults and adolescents experiencing psychological and complex life experiences, collaborate with patients, families, multidisciplinary teams, outside providers and community agencies to support treatment and discharge planning. The Therapist will also focus on personal development to enhance practice. Works with adolescent and children. Some travel between both clinics may be required. Branch Locations Houston – 6500 Hornwood Dr., Houston, TX 77074 Katy – 2900 Commercial Center Blvd. Suite 102, Katy, TX 77494 Job Duties/Responsibilities Complete psychosocial assessments, treatment plan reviews, individual, group, and family therapy sessions within established timeframes either face‑to‑face or telephonically with all patients, family and significant others. Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary team including physicians, RNs, Care Managers and other healthcare team members in crisis intervention; create behavioral plans, case conferences, client‑centered interventions and discharge planning. Conduct assigned therapeutic groups. Provide comprehensive education, instructions, advocacy information designed to assist the patient and significant others to identify and secure needed health care follow‑up services. Preferred: Master’s in Social Work. Licensure: LPC, LPC‑A, LMFT, or LMSW with LCDC or LCDC‑I. CPR and hospital de‑escalation certifications. Experience: One year of clinical experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting.
