Beam Therapeutics
Beam Therapeutics is seeking a motivated co-op student to join the Biotherapeutics Discovery Team from January through June 2027. The role involves screening, characterizing, and optimizing therapeutic antibodies using cell biology, molecular biology, and biochemistry techniques to support drug discovery programs.
Responsibilities
- Screen and characterize antibody and VHH candidates using affinity and biophysical assays
- Perform assays including Octet, ELISA, SEC, and thermal stability analysis
- Optimize therapeutic antibodies for drug discovery programs
- Support advancement of biotherapeutic programs from discovery toward clinical development
Requirements
- Currently enrolled as a co-op student available January-June 2027
- Background in cell biology, molecular biology, or biochemistry
- Experience with protein characterization techniques (Octet, ELISA, SEC)
- Familiarity with thermal stability analysis or biophysical assays
- Strong organizational and communication skills in collaborative settings
