Program Operations Support Specialist Junior This position requires an active Public Trust clearance to be considered. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Program Operations Support Specialist – MID to provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to a dynamic program management team. This role is responsible for facilitating smooth program execution through effective coordination, tracking, and reporting of key operational activities. The ideal candidate will bring mid-level experience in program support within a federal, defense, or government contracting environment. Compensation & Benefits Estimated Starting Salary Range for Program Operations Support Specialist Junior: $60,000 - $65,000 Pay commensurate with experience. Full-time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice. Program Operations Support Specialist Junior Responsibilities Include Assist program leadership with operational planning, execution, and reporting activities. Maintain and update program documentation, schedules, and deliverables. Track action items, risks, and milestones using program management tools and templates. Coordinate logistics for meetings, briefings, and stakeholder engagements. Support data collection, analysis, and preparation of routine reports and presentations. Ensure compliance with internal policies and contractual obligations. Interface with cross-functional teams including finance, logistics, HR, and procurement. Respond to taskers and data calls in a timely and accurate manner. Provide administrative support such as correspondence drafting, file management, and travel coordination. Performs other job-related duties as assigned Program Operations Support Specialist Junior Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field (or equivalent experience). Must have worked as an Action Officer (AO) at the Defense Health Agency (DHA) or one of the military medical headquarters. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with project tracking tools. Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills. Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Prior experience supporting government or defense programs preferred. Must pass pre‑employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal Must possess or have the ability to obtain a U.S. Public Trust clearance.
